Eligibility criteria for the CLAT 2026

Eligibility criteria for the CLAT Undergraduate (UG)

Educational qualification – Students must complete their 10+2 exam or any equivalent exam from a recognised board.

Age limit- There is no age limit mentioned for appearing in the CLAT exam.

  • Students of General /OBC/NRI/PIO have secured at least 45% marks in the board exam.
  • Students of the SC/ ST category must secure at least 40% marks in the 10+2 exam.

Eligibility criteria for the CLAT  Post Graduate (PG)

Educational qualification – Aspirants must have completed their LLB degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University or Institute.

Minimum marks- 

  • Aspirants need to secure at least 50% marks in the LLB degree.
  • Students of the SC/ ST category must secure at least 45% marks in the 10+2 exam.

Age Limit – There is no specific age limit specified for appearing in the CLAT exam.
