OUR STORY SO FAR
AKAD first began around mid April 2008 when a set of 4 enthusiastic children from our neighborhood
approached us to casually discuss about careers in Architecture, Law and Design, we helped and
guided them with the knowledge and resources available with us and it so happened…
That one among the 4 students secured rank in NID, more over the experience gained was highly enriching.
The next 2 years design discussions continued around our dining table with around 8 to 10 students
over weekends.
In 2010 we moved from one place to another and design enthusiasts began fiocking, one Sunday in
2013 we realized that we need a big place, by this time we also realized that we truly enjoyed the
teaching learning process and wanted to take up teaching to a new level, given a name to
our classes i.e. “AKAD - AKADEMIC EXCELLENCE” and opened 2 designated centers in KOLKATA
and BENGALURU.
By 2015 we had students visiting our classes from across India.
And in August 2015 our 3rd centre in JAIPUR began.
Our student’s performance had been superb. These results were clearly visible with our students in
the best institutes like CEPT, IIT’s, NIFT, NID, NLU's, SPA and leading Architectural colleges, we had
ranks for 3 continuous years from 2013 to 2015.
In April 2018, one of our inspiring team members moved to BHOPAL and launched a centre in
BHOPAL to ignite the passion about creative subjects in the area.
AKAD BHUVENESWAR & PATNA came into existence from 1st June 2018 offering high quality
guidance in ARCHITECTURE, LAW and DESIGN across the creative industries.
AKAD DELHI saw the light of the day on 20th November 2018 when of our committed team members
who had worked with us from the beginning decided to move back to their roots and realized the
growing needs of students with regard to ARCHITECTURE, LAW and DESIGN in the region.
We at AKAD are passionate about the creative subjects we teach and continue to encourage curiosity,
risk-taking and adventure in exploring and pushing subject knowledge and its boundaries.
